An apple can score with many healthy ingredients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, calcium, iron, unsaturated fatty acids and so-called pectins. The pome fruit is therefore valued not only for its taste, but also for its positive effects on health. Regular apple consumption is attributed, among other things, to a preventive effect against diseases of the cardiovascular system, cancer, diabetes and asthma. Overall, apples are an extremely healthy fruit and apple juice (especially naturally cloudy) has been shown to have a preventive effect on some of the symptoms mentioned. (fp)
