The Kaufland food retail chain is calling “K-Classic Delikatess Rotkohl” back. Pieces of wire could be in individual jars of a particular batch, which could result in injury if consumed.

"It cannot be completely excluded that there are pieces of wire in individual glasses of the product mentioned, which can lead to injuries when consumed," the company wrote in a press release.

Affected goods removed from sale

According to their own statements, Kaufland has already taken the affected goods out of sale.

K-Classic delicacy red cabbage with other best before dates and batches are not affected.

Consumers can return the product in any country of purchase - even without presenting the receipt - for a refund of the purchase price.

Impurities in food production

In food production, errors in the manufacturing processes can lead to contamination or foreign bodies such as glass, aluminum or plastic residues.
